We are recruiting for new Vets!
Experienced Veterinary Surgeon – Companion Animal.
We are expanding our Companion Animal department with a new purpose-designed surgery in Skipton opening in Autumn 2026.
We’re looking for experienced small animal vets to join our current team of 5 at this exciting stage in our independent practice’s development.
If your priorities include a healthy, respectful workplace culture, clinical freedom, collaborative teamwork, personal and professional development – then we’d love to hear from you and discuss our proposal for:
- 4-day week (happy to consider part-time/flexible applications)
- Shared OOH on-call provision across the full vet team
- Competitive Salary, Commensurate with experience.
- Employee discounts.
- CPD allowance – professional development actively encouraged
- RCVS/VDS/Professional subscription
Our practice strives to be a great place to work, whilst continually seeking to improve our services. We work hard to support each other and incorporate EBVM into what we do. This year we hope to publish some of our practice-based anaesthetic safety findings in collaboration with researchers at University of Lancashire.
If you have specific clinical interests, we are well placed to help develop these, however if GP vetting is your focus then you may be interested in our participation in RCVS’ work towards creating a new GP-specialist status. Watch this space!
We’re very lucky to enjoy working with great clients in beautiful surroundings. If you’d like to discuss joining our friendly, supportive team then please get in touch – peter.ohagan@daleheadvetgroup.co.uk
Work Experience
Over the past few years Dalehead Veterinary Group has become increasingly popular as a location for students at veterinary college seeking a placement for extra mural studies. Due to this increased demand from the veterinary universities, we are no longer able to offer work experience placements to school or college students.
How to Apply:
Veterinary Students wishing to see practice at Dalehead Veterinary Group should contact Ruth Parker who organises the placements, either by telephone on 01729 823538 or by email at info@daleheadvetgroup.co.uk
