Vaccinating

Cats can start their vaccination course from 9 weeks of age. The vaccines start with a course of 2 injections 3-4 weeks apart. To keep the immunity effective your cat needs a booster every year.

Nutrition

There are a huge number of cat foods available, all of varying degrees of quality and expense. You will be pleased to know the most expensive is not necessarily the best. We recommend a complete dry diet. Our recommendation is to pick a good quality fixed formula complete food such as Hills and stick to it. We recommend the Hill's Vet Essentials range which combines several of the Hill's prescription features and is balanced to provide all the nutrition your cat needs in a highly digestible and palatable diet.

Parasites

For a complete parasite control programme according to your cat's lifestyle please contact the surgery to arrange a vet appointment.

Neutering

In both male and female cats the neutering surgery is performed under a general anaesthetic. We normally recommend neutering at about five months of age.
