Small Animal/Equine Receptionist Full Time

Dalehead Veterinary Group require an enthusiastic, motivated individual to join their reception team for 10 months maternity cover starting September 2008, with the possibility of a permanent position at the end of that time.

The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication skills, have a polite and informed telephone manner and knowledge of the Windows computer system would be an advantage.

Hours of work will be 9.30am – 5.30pm Monday to Friday with one hour for lunch and Saturday morning 9am – 12noon on a four weekly rota. Main duties will include greeting clients at reception, assessing and dealing with their requirements, taking payments and handling telephone enquiries. There will also be an administrative element as the ideal candidate will assist the small animal and equine co-ordinators in their roles dealing with insurance claims, vaccination recalls and promoting special offers or services.

Some practical knowledge of either companion animal or equine care would definitely be an advantage although this is not essential as training will be given.
